Day Nine

Let's see what the Americans did today...............

Tara and Daniel both worked. Champ is feeling better! Matt and I hung out until Tara finished this afternoon and then we went to Camp Foster for some personal errands.

After the outing Tara went to workout and the boys have been playing college football on playstation.

Take a good look at the picture. Tara took us to a really sweet restaurant. It's amazing!! I want to open one in the states. We can not tell what the name of it is but we are going to refer to it as Ice. (Kevin and Marcia get excited!!) They bring you out Japanese salad, nan bread, veggies if you want them , steamed rice, and a plate of raw steak. Then you get to cook the steak just as you like it on the fire pit at your table. Great fun! They also had the buzzer for the waiters at the table so they only come when called. I want to open something like this! It would be a huge success. (Oh and you can pick any type of meat you want..one price all you can eat for 1980 yen).

We are now at home. The base is closed for those that want to leave. There were several cars trying to get out. Matt and Daniel are back to playing football and Tara is cleaning up. I am going to help. Ya'll have a great day! It's quiet no planes!
Love Laura

Hey! I'm having trouble with signing on...it seems I have to register every time I want to sign in to leave a comment! UGH! :)

Anyway...looks like you had a fabulous dinner! It looks kinda like the Melting Pot but better!
That shirt posted below is odd...it seems that they are way more advanced in a lot of things, but they could use some help in the fashion department!!

Have a good night...don't let the bed bugs bite!

Oh- and I think you guys might be a day off. Today (Wed) is posted as Day 9, but I think it should be Day 10 because the 15th was Day 1. Seems to be two Day 8's. Have I confused you now? I could be wrong...but I just wanted to throw it out there! ;)

Laura& Matt forget about opening a restruant. TOO much work. I think the REAL $ could be made selling a good Japanese to english dictionaries over there! You should get some of those t's and wear them around Richmond to see the reaction you'd get!
Katie Sullivan called tonight. She was thanking me for the card I sent them. She and her mom are going looking for a dress this weekend.
Dad's cooking shrimp tonight. That's all that's happening here. Bye, Love , Mom Ritenour

That looks awesome. Its 11:12 in RIC and I have a terrible stomach bug, so I haven't been eating much, but you have officially made me hungry again!!
It looks like you guys are having a really fun time! I am so excited to read the blog everyday!
Anyway, keep them coming. Maybe I'll send Mike out to fetch me some pine and apples....
much love,

Hi guys,. We finally got the badly needed rain. Bill, a neighbor, said he had 5" in his rain gauge. The apartment looks pretty nice. You might want to forget about the food business, Bobby is right I hear it's a lot of work. Seems like there's a lot to do over there. Have fun!
