JMU and Adjusting

We really had a great Thanksgiving. We got to spend the day with Matt's family at his sister's house and then we spent the next few days with family in Winchester.

Rock is failing and that has been hard to deal with. I think we are both emotionally drained from the last year plus. But I guess we will get through this next phase. I just hope we do right by him.

The last two months have flown by. I can't believe it will only be two months on the 25th since losing Jack. It honestly feels a lot longer. Once I passed the two week mark it got easier but the last few days have been extremly diffacult and I lose it everytime I think of him. I really miss my time with him and its going to be hard hanging is stocking.

Matt and I have been really lucky. Laura and Connie have been great at watching Rock so we can go to the JMU football tournament. This will be our third weekend going to the games. We have had great seats and it's been so nice having Matt their to experience it with me. GO DUKES!!!

I just spent almost two hours on the phone with Tara. It is so good to hear her voice! She is within three weeks of giving birth to Quin X Burgess. The middle name is yet to be determined. Her doctor said yesterday that she is now in the safe zone and can give birth at any time. She is hoping to make it till the 29th so her parents can be there. I can't wait!!! We are already planning a fall trip to JMU for a football game and dance with the little guy.

Hope you are all doing well. Matt and I have a lot of decorating to do and will try and get our cards out as soon as they arrive. Take care.

Laura
